Intro: Our last lesson, Solomon dedicated the temple, largely for physical reasons: war, physical ailments, famine, etc. This lesson, Solomon emphasizes mostly spiritual reasons, issues, etc. We are physical and spiritual. Hopefully, we will learn some aspects of the latter in this lesson. Read I Kings 8:41-61

  1. What is missing for those who only seek God for physical reasons?
  2. When sin dominates a person’s life, how is his relationship with God affected?
